Vetiver - North India (Ruh Khus)

Vetiver essential oil or Ruh Khus is produced through the distillation of the root part of the plant (vetiver grass). The north Indian species is called as Vetiveria zizanioides.

Vetiveria zizanioides is a perennial bunchgrass native to India.

Top notes - Starts with green, minty notes which is almost medicinal in character.

Middle notes - Becomes earthy, viscous and rounded, green fresh grass.

Basenotes - Deep woody and earthy yet retaining its green minty character in the background.
