Harvested from the forests of Upper Assam, one of India's most respected natural habitats for wild agarwood, where favourable climatic conditions allow exceptional resin formation to occur over many years.

Natural Formation

Agaru Reserve is harvested from naturally infected wild agarwood trees without artificial inoculation or human intervention.

Its resin developed through the tree's natural defence process following infection associated with the wood-boring moth Zeuzera conferta. Over many years, this slow interaction between tree and nature produced the aromatic resin that defines the character of this agarwood today.

Agaru Reserve possesses one of the most distinctive aromatic personalities within the Wild Oud Collection.

Its naturally long pieces display pronounced black resin veins that follow the grain of the wood, offering a clear visual indication of healthy resin formation.
